Geek, Laptop Seeking Stable Home
May 21st, 2008
My blog is once again being neglected due to real life.
I’m seeking somewhere new to live. It’s kind of come on short notice, and I was hoping to find somewhere to move before the end of the month but it’s looking less and less like that’s going to be a possibility. The housing situation here is pretty harsh at the moment. It seems every man and his dog is looking for somewhere to live around here (and that includes share accommodation!).
This means I might be spending a few weeks with my girlfriend and her family out in the suburbs with internet access effectively restricted to work. Until I find somewhere stable, my blog posts are probably going to be a little slow in the making.
So does anybody in the inner suburbs of Melbourne have a room for rent early June?

I feel your pain about moving. Real estate in Vancouver is probably as bad as it is in your neck of the woods. Really sucks being forced to move and thus not getting to look at the prime times of the month to get a nice place.
Sheesh, it must be pretty bad if you’re resorting to your blog to find somewhere to live!
Not that it’s really any different up here in Brissy (or so I’m told).
Good luck finding a place mate.
Brett: Too right. It’s a real hassle. The last place I was at let me stay there for three years before *I* decided to leave for Melbourne. Feels like I’ve just settled in here

OJ: Yeah, it’s been terrible. Looking at more this weekend, hopefully, but I’m not getting my hopes up.
I’d vouch for him. I’m sure he’s harmless once you ignore the beard
Yeah, you just gotta get used to the smell.
